On December 7, Toll 4 Europe has been accepted by the regional governments and by Sofico as aservice provider for the kilometer charge in Belgium. Fleet owners now have the choice between six different service providers where they can order an On Board Unit to have their driven kilometres on payable toll roads in Belgium registered and billed afterwards.
Prior to their accreditation, Toll4Europe started its technical tests under supervision of Viapass. The tests verified the the accuracy of the systems that are being used, the communication with the systems of Viapass and the regional control services, and the constant reliability of the data. Toll4Europe -a partnership of T-Systems , Daimler, DKV Euro Service en Shell- concluded the test rounds with success after which it has been accepted as service providers by the three tolling authorities.
Fleet owners who want to order an OBU can now have the choice between 6 service providers where they can order an OBU: Axxes, Eurotoll, Telepass, Toll4Europe, Total and Satellic.
