Viapass Kilometer Charge for HGVs
of +3.5 tons since April 1st 2016

Since April 1 2016, the Kilometer Charge applies for HGVs of over 3.5 tons and for N1 trucks with body code BC. All these trucks need to be equipped with an On Board Unit that is constantly switched-on when they drive on public roads. This OBU will only charge the kilometers driven on paying toll roads.

On this website you will find all information on the the Kilometer Charge and answers on questions like:

Whom is the Kilometer Charge meant for? »

Who is exempted of the Kilometer Charge? »

Where do I find the tariffs and maps of the toll roads? »

The correct use of the On Board Unit is being monitored, and fraud or non-use will be fined.

Important: VIAPASS is the supervising and coordinating public organisation for the Kilometer Charge. If you have specific technical questions about your OBU or your bills, you need to contact your service provider, not VIAPASS.
