As of January 1st 2018, semi-trailer towing vehicles of category N1 with body code BC fall under the Kilometer Charge. They must drive with an On Board Unit that is always switched-on when they drive the public roads in Belgium. Besides the GVW, and the license plate number, owners need also fill out the emission norm of the vehicle when they install the OBU.
